Alight is a non-profit founded by a survivor to support those diagnosed with breast cancer and their families in the Greensboro area. Through our programs and resources, we try to both understand and address patients’ emotional and physical needs as they navigate the health care system. We have developed a journal and patient resource guide with important treatment information as well as a list of local agencies and related retail services through collaborative efforts with community and health agencies. In our on-going programs, we plan to develop, evaluate and disseminate a new model of patient care so patients and their families can make informed decisions about breast cancer treatment.
